- Sesame seeds
Sesame seeds are gotten from a flowering plant in the genus Sesamum, also called benne. A variety of its wild relatives occurs in Africa and a smaller India. It is usually cultivated for its tiny, oil-rich seeds that grow in pods on the Sesame Indicum plant. Unhulled seeds have the outer, edible husk intact, while hulled seeds come without the husk.
Sesame plant is commonly grown in the Northern and Middle belt region of Nigeria, and other African countries in large quantities. With our wide range of farmers and partners, Empathy Organics has acquired a trusted supply chain to ensure sustainable delivery of sesame seed all year round.
